Tell us about your family:
I've been married to Mike (who keeps life interesting and fun) for over 4 decades and we have 3 grown children and darling grandchild. We love to travel as a family and much of our travel involves being active in the outdoors. Whether we're hiking the coast of Italy, snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef, rappelling in Utah, or skiing in Telluride, we love being together and we love outdoor life.
A Life of Fitness & Swimming:
Health and Fitness has always been a major part of my life. My parents were college athletes and I grew up competing and participating in lots of sports: snow skiing, water skiing, tennis, track, horseback riding, and swimming.
Water has been a major theme throughout my life. I was a competitive swimmer growing up on Okinawa and in Colorado Springs and have been teaching people of all ages to swim since I was 14!
I've continued to swim for relaxation and exercise since my competitive days, and I enjoy helping people become more efficient and comfortable in the water so they'll enjoy it as much as I do. I swim in Barton Springs year-round and ski on Lake Austin from April through November. I find being in and around water completely rejuvenating and can’t imagine life without it. It's beautiful, restorative and FUN!

I’m Most Inspired By:
My parents are my inspiration! They are in their 90’s and still lead very active lives. They continue to try new things, eat well, exercise daily, travel and most importantly are very involved with their family. They have wonderful relationships with their 3 children and 6 grandchildren and their great grandchildren who all adore them. Any gathering is more fun if my parents are there!
Favorite Passage:
May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
Why iGnite:
iGnite gives us the opportunity to cross train in an outdoor, fun, supportive environment. As the years go by, I find that variety in exercise is essential for helping to stay injury free.
