We LOVE our iGnite leaders. They are incredible and the very best!! They come at fitness from different backgrounds, are at different places in their lives, and have different strengths (pun intended), but they ALL share our passion for providing an encouraging, inspiring, and empowering health and fitness community for women. This week, let's meet Sarah!
Favorite exercise song?
Any Motown dance music!
What do you usually do right after class?
Run a couple of errands or go home and eat!
Favorite word?
Encourage! I don’t think we can get through life without it, and I love to encourage others!
What's your pre or post workout breakfast?
I eat after working out. Any combo of protein, fat and carb - I make sure to include all of them. I love avocado toast with and egg plus extra egg whites and tomatoes, color peppers, and sunflower sprouts when they are available also sometimes radish.
If there is no time for that then a protein smoothie made with protein powder, cashew or oat milk and a little cacao shaken up is great!
Who's your biggest motivator or cheerleader?
My daughters and my iGnite friends motivate me and cheer me along!
What's one thing you make sure to do each night?
Wash my face and brush my teeth!
What's saving you right now (seriously or humorously)?
Diving a little deeper into my faith.
What do you mutter while doing burpees?
I go through a full range of the feels: "I got this… crap...how many more…this is good for me… ugh….stay focused….don't quit... almost done... DONE!
What's something we'd be surprised to learn about you?
When I was 12, I went to San Francisco on a ballet scholarship for 6 or 7 weeks.
I went alone and lived in a convent in Height Ashbury because they housed the ballerinas. It was fun, scary, wild and crazy.
What's your favorite thing about iGnite?
The community of like-minded, health conscious, super active friends of all ages, and a sense of belonging.
